A Reckoning- The truth about why some celebrities are being dethroned

                                                    

            They are dropping like flies. Its reminiscent of the Salem Witch trials, isn’t it? Every week- no, every day, we are seeing top executives, politicians, celebrities, or even preachers- fall from grace. But why? Why now is there a sudden cleaning of house? This type of behavior from people in power is nothing new- in days of old people were giving the same complaints about the corruption and base habits of celebrities- and were paid off or shoved in the closet. In fact, the allegations that many are being fired for have no visible proof, and many took place, thirty and forty years ago. But now, invisible bigwigs have begun to fire people, ‘hang people’, kill their reputation, kill their careers. And notice, the target always bows to the allegations, quietly accepting their fate. Some have called it a ‘reckoning’. I do agree. It’s an all-out war as we are quickly pushing forward toward the Coming of Jesus- and The Rise of the Anti-Christ.

          On the surface level, it’s clear that the devil has people in position in every single realm. He has successfully recruited your favorite pop stars, rappers, politicians, news anchors. News broadcasts have been reporting slanted news for a very long time. The power of the press was the first thing the devil acquired. Do you know who runs them? They have openly supported Satan and we have turned a blind eye because we do not want to believe that its true (2 cor 4:4). But do you understand the depths of their corruption? I think not!

         We have made light of “making deals with the devil”. We have chosen to believe a lie rather than believe the truth. Some of us are just plain old ignorant like the people in the days of Noah- and will not come to the realization until it’s too late- but many of us are purposely turning a blind eye. We don’t want to believe it because it would mean we would have to change our lifestyles- turn off the tv and the internet, stop listening to secular artists, stop going out, stop wearing certain things, and basically live like an alien in a world where everyone is turning up. You will be laughed at, misunderstood, not included or popular, and certainly undervalued. (And if you were living like that, certainly you would be saying “MARANATHA, come Lord Jesus!”) We justify our lukewarm behaviors by calling people who believe the bible, “too deep”, when in fact we know that we are not deep enough. Many of our false leaders have gotten in bed with devil, choosing to enjoy dinner with the devil, enjoy making music with the devil, selling out for recognition and fame. But the devil never fights fair. No matter who you are, his intentions are to steal, kill, and destroy. For those who make deals with him, they may enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season- but as soon as he has gotten what he wants out of you- used you to influence a young generation, and to confuse people and spread his lies- that corruption will surely bring forth death. How many celebrities have we seen “overdose” all too soon? People at the very top, dying at the very bottom, and so many others who were not important enough to be reported. For the ways of unrighteousness ends in death.

    Bottom Line? There is a plot afoot. As the church prepares for the coming of Jesus, the world prepares for the unveiling of the antichrist. Your favorite celebrities have pledged to the new world order. Your favorite basketball player is a recruiter for Satan, and your fashion icons whose clothes you wear work diligently on the antichrists’ behalf. The intent is to have complete influence, in every arena, right on down to their fake ‘megachurches’ (where there are no visible crosses or sanctimonious objects, no true doctrine, and even the bibles they choose to use have been modified to fit the agenda) and educational institutions where we learn a biased worldview education. And anyone, in any position that will not go along with the plan, anyone who will not bow completely, is disposed of. They are then replaced with someone who will be more progressive and is completely on board. You can have enough as a believer, but you cannot have it all. Any further, and it will cost you.

    Open your eyes and look around. Everywhere warns you. Movies play it out for you. Rappers are telling you. When will you wake up?

Signs of The End Times: 

The Naked Epidemic

     Today, in Laodicea, you cannot tell the difference between a porn star, or a rapper, singer, or athlete. Today, even gospel singers and First Ladies wear the latest trends in revealing clothing, embracing standards set by celebrities. Today, men's clothes are just as tight, short, and revealing as the women's clothes. Sliced, netted, cropped, distressed! All the ways we can show more skin! Celebrities are idolized as they wear floor length gowns made of nothing more than a translucent fabric draped with holes, and completely sheer dresses which show their entire anatomy. All are naked, all are proud. 

      In a day where the less you wear, the more attention and 'likes' you get, a day where the new definition of classy includes tasteful nudity(?) how does one navigate their course and stay in the will of God? 

         Just twenty years ago what we now consider to be "classy" would have been classified as the clothes of a harlot. And what we classified then as harlot behavior, has now become the average millennial's weekend out 😖 What is happening in our society, and why is it happening so rapidly?

In Revelation 3, God says to the church of the last days (yes, that would be us), 

           ...Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.”

               ‭‭Revelation‬ ‭3:17-18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

        It certainly seems that we are blind- we have clearly reversed the definition of what is acceptable and what is not. We blindly eat the fruit of our decisions, watching the rise of divorce, plastic surgery, fatherless children, molestation, child trafficking, vanity, suicide, and the erosion of human morality. 

        I encourage you to watch out for the spirit of lust that has blinded an entire generation. Watch for that spirit of pride, that believes that this flesh is worthy of display, that these bodies that we have started building, and manufacturing (as the day allows), are worth more than the dust they are created from.

       Yes! To the children of God I caution, you are bought with a price! Your body is not your own! It belongs to God! You are engaged to Jesus Christ- and he is a jealous God who does not fancy your nakedness being revealed to all. 

        So, you ask:  Would God deny me the opportunity to generate thousands of followers on Instagram, based on the body that HE gave me??? In a world where nakedness is popular, would God have me suffer the awkward persecution of being the only one of my friends, totally covered? Would he condemn me to the agony of having to deny my fleshly desires that thirst for attention and likes, and the praise of my peers? To these burning, modern era questions God answers, "Yes."

              “Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.”

         “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

         And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

 In a day where nakedness is the standard, buy (seek!) of the Lord white raiment, to be clothed in the beauty of His righteousness. If you cannot see the value in yourself being covered, ask God to reveal this to you! He will create in you a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within you.          Besides, without even seeing you, I can tell you that you are more beautiful covered than naked.

      Have you been watching the news in worry, or fear? Have you been noticing the sudden and dark shift in our society, reminding you of scriptures you have heard before? Have you seen the shifts in nature, wondering why, in fear? You are not alone, and you would be right to assume that we are living in the times prophesied of old. Here we will begin to provide continual coverage of the end of days, aligned with scripture. May this encourage you to Prepare, for the Lord is Soon to Come. 

Natural Disasters

       "As in the days of Noah were, so also shall the coming of man be." Matthew 24:37                  
Hurricane Harvey!!! Hurricane Irma!! Lord Help Us!!!  We are living through catastrophic natural disasters, and yet we fail to see the divinity in it. We are powerless against God's hand, yet we arrogantly deny His power or His mighty hand. As preachers warn men of the wrath of God to come, our world rebelliously charges ahead in our sin, toward certain death. Eerily similar to the great flood of Noah, whom warned the people of the impending doom to come and begging them to repent, to no avail. The ruler and creator of the heavens is in charge, and at His word our entire world will absolutely crumble.

      Speaking of crumbling, earthquakes are another certain sign of the end of days: "...And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in divers places." Matthew 24:7.  The word "divers" here means several, many, manifold, multitudinous. And currently, where you aware that we (this earth) are now experiencing 3000+ earthquakes every MONTH?! That number has been on an unprecedented increase in both frequency and strength, leading many experts to fear that the earth is literally "cracking up". Tell me, what can man do in their might to mend the earth? The answer is nothing. Man can do nothing, only God, the creator of this earth can. And he has already spoken that he will end this world, to create a new one, Rev.21

Race Wars:

#BlackLivesMatter. We've watched innocents being killed for doing seemingly nothing, besides being a certain color. "#SayTheirNames" as they become martyrs for a cause that goes beyond what we can see. Colors are Uniting, whilst separating from others. Celebrities are preaching from their platforms and empowering certain groups of people. Riots are erupting, violent fights and violent words are flowing. Who can forget the violence of Charlotte last month as a car plowed through crowds of people full force, running over their bodies? 

       ...For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom...

Matthew 24:7

    Many overlook the depth of this scripture, thinking that it speaks to the warring nature of our countries. But "nation" can also refer to nationality. As in your origin, your ethnicity, your race. We are witnessing a rise in nationality against nationality. Not one group simply persecuting another group, as in times of old, but a violent empowerment of nation against other nation. We do not trust cops of a certain color, and they do not trust people of a color. The day has come where we gravitate toward those who are like us with pride, and we feel safer amongst our own.

       Also scripturally in accordance is 2 Timothy 3:1: "This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come". Indeed perilous, or dangerous times have arrived! There are protests, riots, uprisings all over the world right now! When you cannot be safe being pulled over by an enforcer of the law, when your children are not safe walking home, or even being at school for that matter- when you have to think twice about attending a movie, you should consider the signs or the time. As they pull Jesus out of the schools and the earth, we know that the antichrist spirit is working and more visible than ever.

        God is in the process of ending this earth. But although this world has an expiration date, God has prepared a glorious after life for those who have chosen to live for him; "And if I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you into myself, that where I am, there you may be also." John 14:3.

The One Eye- Look Deeper part one

        Have you noticed all the eyes floating around lately? Not a pair, but one single eye 👁 It is on purses, jewelry, clothes- major celebrities even have it tattooed on them. 

        Do a little research. I dare you to type in "celebrities one eye" and see if your favorite celebrity is included in the old "one eye club". (Re-illuminati). Selling your "soul" to the devil for fame and fortune is one of his oldest, most effective tricks. In fact, he tempted Jesus with the very same thing that many have fallen prey to:

                 "Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.”

       I was at the gym, and I saw a commercial come on to "stop bullying" by texting the one-eye emoji. Now, being the vigilant Christian I am, it bothered me to see all those kids on the screen texting and posting one eye all over their lockers and shirts...because I am aware of the satanic symbolism of the eye. Yes, satanic. 
             Historically, the eye of rah/ the all seeing eye/ the eye of providence (which actually appears in an Egyptian pyramid on our dollar bills!!!...) is an elitist, occultist symbol that is a major part of history and has in the past, been kept a secret for years. It has deep, dark roots in the most powerful and influential leaders of this world.

         Unfortunately, many Christians have become ignorant of Satan's devices, and have chosen to close their eyes (pun intended) and act as though there is not an evil agenda at play. If you say the word "illuminati" people roll their eyes, not because it's not been proven to be true, but because they have been deceived. But the Bible has already warned us that there is an elite group of important people who work for Satan:

          “The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.”

    To not believe that Satan is at work in the high places of this earth- the music industry, politics, Hollywood- is to blatantly deny the word of God. 

             “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

       If you don't believe that the devil has established an elaborate scheme to deceive many, do not call yourself a Christian. When you chose Christ, you chose the winning side. Satan has been working for years in every high (re: POPULAR and HIGHLY VISIBLE) place on this earth to deceive the masses.

    But as we near the coming of our Savior, and all of the epic events to follow (concluding with satan being cast into hellfire for eternity, Rev.20 ) satan has stepped his game up. He's preparing for his temporary reign (Rev.20), after the saints are raptured away- and he is targeting the next generation- our children, like never before.

       I know it has gone out of style to check your children's music, to screen your children's friends, to turn off the tv at night. I know it is "old school" to bring your child to Sunday school,

To only listen to Christian music, to hold them back from celebrating Halloween and going to secular concerts.

But hear me when i say, YOU WILL LOSE THEM IF YOU DO NOT RAISE THEM UP IN NURTURE AND ADMONITION OF THE LORD.

     Stand up and tell that child no. Dispose of

their secular music, monitor their phones and friends, and RESEARCH things before you let them engage in them.

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:”

Don't let your child get turned out by the world.

They will lose their purity and peace here (sexual confusion, bullying, and suicide rates at an all time high) but they will lose their HEAVENLY inheritance, which is far worse!

       The devil is not omniscient, he does not know all things, he cannot see all things- but he does have a lot of workers (minions!) that are watching for him. From the top to the bottom,

satan has set in motion a plan and an army that he wants your child to join. Disney,

Cartoon Network, TNT, and so many other children's networks and shows have the all

Seeing eye and dark magic present in all of their most famous shows.

      The only one who is all seeing is The One True And Living God. The devil has always been a counterfeit, a knockoff of the original, trying to steal His glory. But the more you read the truth (the word of God), the easier it will be to spot a counterfeit.

        “The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.”

Telling God the Truth

My four year old often says two totally contradictory things at the same time. "I do but I don't...want to". "I did, but I didn't do it." And it's so funny, especially because my two year old (copy-cat) now says the same thing, with a shrug. 

        And even though it's nonsense, it makes total sense to me. Haven't you ever did something you really didn't want to? Or felt like you did something you may not have done? These opposing thoughts are representative of the opposing nature that dwells within us between flesh and spirit. 

The apostle Paul said it like this:

      “For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I....For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.” Rom. 7

      So, out of the mouth of babes! When I got down to pray and talk to the Lord I found myself telling Him, concerning a certain situation: I know what it is I should do, but I always find myself doing just the opposite. And I don't want to be found in error- please let your grace cover my shortcomings and your spirit empower me to do what is right. 

As Paul said, 

       "For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not." Rom. 7

     I can imagine that God feels a bit as a father how I feel as a mother. It's funny and refreshing to get that honesty. Honesty is something I can work with. It softens my heart when I hear the truth, even concerning a bad thing. 

         So, may we stop justifying our sins and begin to confess them. May we begin to tell the total truth to the one who already knows what you did and the why behind it.

      “And (Jesus) said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. 

       Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.”

Disclaimer: This article is not for the lukewarm, nor the sleeping saint, who simply believe that all there is to life is what they can see with their two eyes. Eph. 6/12

    Who has seen Wonder Woman? I did!!! It was inspiring right?! The lead actor was absolutely beautiful...so courageous and strong. And she was chock-full of integrity. I cheered as I watched her valiantly stand against the evil agendas of politics, war, and hate- I mean, we honestly could really use a Wonder Woman right now, couldn't we? 

     *But wait. We already have a savior, who has valiantly triumphed over evil. So we need to go deeper* 

Let's point out some of the obvious Christian Threads:

   1. She came to redeem the world- similar to the role of Christ- to save them from themselves and give them the grace and mercy they did not deserve. She believed they could be redeemed.

    2. She was half human, half God- as Jesus was. 

    3. She was  formed from clay, and 'Zeus' breathed the breath of Life into her (This is when my spiritual antennas really began to buzz)

    4. " Ares" (or Lucifer as we call him) rebelled against 'Zeus' and fell to the earth, bringing war and all manner of evil to man.

    5. "Ares" doesn't force man to do evil, he simply whispers suggestions and ideas in their ears and they choose to do it themselves. (Ouch!)

And many other things, but we will pause here.

                *lets go deeper, shall we?*

      The issue is, upon exegesis, that characters like Dianna are not simply portraying a "Christ-Like" character, they are portraying the Anti-Christ. Dianna, along with all her Marvel brothers and sisters, come into this fallen world- righting all the wrongs. This is the role of the Anti-Christ, who comes in the deception of being good- initially healing one wound as he later unleashes true darkness. These films serve as forerunners to the AntiChrist, who will come with signs, miracles, and wonders- and the "answers" to a divided world.

          “And then shall be revealed the lawless one, whom the Lord Jesus shall slay with the breath of his mouth...even he, whose coming is according to the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, and with all deceit of unrighteousness for them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.”

                  ‭‭2 Thessalonians‬ ‭2:8-10‬ ‭ASV‬‬

            “For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. 

               And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.     

          For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.”

   The final thought is, that similar to "Ares'" deception tactics, many Christians were so distracted by all the "good" that was happening that they could not see the sacrilege that was also, happening. Many missed the goddess Dianna knocking an entire church steeple to the ground in battle. (Certainly symbolic.) Many failed to be offended by the very blatant attempt to denigrate and belittle the good of God's marital institution. Or just the clear religious appropriation of the story which was written by Creator God- and renaming the characters Zeus, Ares, Dianna, and calling the movie "Wonder Woman"😳

         In conclusion, many "block busters" have been ripping off biblical stories for years. People leave calling Marvel Comics and all the rest "genius" but I call it plagiarism in the most flagrant way. Ninety percent of their plots stem from the drama of the bible- from Genesis to Revelation. This is why you do not see true bible stories played out on the big screen. They will never invest their billion dollar budgets bringing to life the stories of the bible, because they need to save those story-lines for their own films, where they swap out the characters and pass the deep mysteries of Gods Word off for their own intellect. (While also collecting trillions and pushing an anti-Christ agenda in the process!)

    Don't be deceived, the aim of many movies is to indoctrinate the viewers- and indeed they do- by the millions. Christian fans can line quote marvel comics, tell you the strengths and weaknesses of their favorites characters- but can barely quote a scripture.                 

       MOST CHRISTIANS ARE NOT OFFENDED BY WHAT IS HAPPENING IN THE MOVIES, BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT AWARE OF WHAT IS HAPPENING IN THE MOVIE. 

        Marvel and many other film giants seek to introduce and spoon serve the world a taste test of the true apocalypse, the true end of days, and the true end of humanity. Satan and his imps will be able to work in their truest form, because we have been looking at him in dark, twisted films and TV for years. Most will be deceived and will welcome the serpent with open arms. But if you have eyes to see, and ears to hear- wake up and speak. There's a movement brewing. Are you apart of the remnant? 

"Stay Woke?" : The Empty Pew Epidemic

 

 Something inside of me wants to yell,

           "ITS TIME! WAKE UPPPPPP!!!!!!" 

    I know I can't be alone in this. It's time for those of you who are seeing- those of you who have a heavy heart- to take action. Isn't it amazing that secular people are now saying "stay woke"? Did you know that's biblical? 

           “The end of all things is near. Therefore be alert and of sober mind so that you may pray.”

                           ‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭4:7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

      It's chilling to me how we are so blind, as the final days before judgment come upon us. Have you not seen the attendance of local churches dropping, lower, lower? Haven't you noticed the empty pews at bible class? Churches everywhere are struggling to keep their doors open. The saints will no longer support, attendance-wise or financially. There are now more enemies (tares) planted in the pews than true Saints of God. 

          The enemy has launched a major attack on the body of Christ, he has planted suicide bombers in the church, and every time they go off, they kill and wound many souls. The devil grins as People cry "church hurt, church hurt"- as though our Savior was not the ultimate example of that. We have stopped working together to carry our faith. We have started to stay home, to participate in the gossip, we have begun to reason our way out of bearing the responsibility of the great falling away.

       Why are we wasting so much time worried about things that really carry no eternal weight? Concerned about social media and celebrities when Christians at being killed by the thousands in other countries? Just last week a busload of Christians were killed in Egypt- 28 dead. (Say their names) Because of the constant occurrence, our own president has are called it an anti-Christian genocide. Are you aware?

       The scale has been tipped. How are they being killed for their faith, and we believe we deserve an award for attending a Sunday Service? (Where all we do is sit...) We have become non-descript, undistinguishable, unremarkable- we are now no different than the world. We go to the same places, do the same things, we dress the same, we think the same- we believe the same. We have lost our savour.

         “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.”

       Somehow we have glamorized the church of old, saying it "ain't what it used to be". And I agree. The main reason being the saints aren't what they used to be. Saints of old made their way to service, rain, sleet ,or snow. Sickness or grieving, they brought their burdens to the altar. They didn't use meditation, exercise, marijuana, vacations, or social media to self medicate. 

        The church will continue to fall apart because the devil has a plan. Long term it involves bullying us into submission. Denying churches grants. Forcing preachers to submit their sermons to the government. Poisoning our children through the tv and the Internet. Persecuting Pastors until they are dead or wounded. And watering us down until we don't even know wrong from right.

    Please wake up. Be faithful to your local ministry. Be an example of enduring love to those around you- those who do not know God. Spend time with Jesus everyday. Read a chapter, listen to worship, and pray. You must remain vigilant, you must eat to stay strong. We already have the victory. A movement is brewing...Are you willing to fight?

We are so excited to reveal our updated blog and site! Here everything is centrally located- our music, interviews, blog posts, and apparel, as well as our social media links.

    Being Noisy For God is important to us, and we hope it's important to you. Please look beyond us and see the depth of the message. We are living in dark times, and it's more important than ever for us to be a visible light. We are all lights that God has strategically placed along the path of righteousness. If we work together, we can lead many endangered souls to safety.

         Please join us in our mission to spread the gospel. Everyday we have made a decision to do good, and sow good. Join us.

God is not pleased with #BeyonceWorship

                            

I must say; I was shocked to see the enamored reaction of the Saints to Beyonce. Although the world's idolatrous reaction to her was more bold and brazen than ever, it was the saints enlivenment that shook me. The woman, dressed in gold, with a cloven crown on her head, sat on a golden throne. Her admirers fell at her feet in worship, lifting their hands up to her and bowing as she passed by. The audience quietly held their breath in thirst for every note she sang, every word she carefully spoke. As she ended her performance, an awestruck audience gave her a standing ovation- no one was visibly seated. Everyone clapped, and clapped, and clapped, as the woman dressed in gold quietly stood there and absorbed their worship. Immediately the internet was set ablaze with all manner of praise of her beauty, presentation, pregnancy, voice, speech...worship hands and prayer emojis overflowed. I wish I were exaggerating, but unfortunately, this happened.

" I can't stop sinning!"

Killing the flesh- is it a process, or a sudden death? Scripturally, when you are baptized, it is a type of burial. The old you goes down beneath the water and is supposed to stay there. The new you arises, prepared to walk in the newness of life. Old things have passed away, and behold all things are become new (2Cor5.17)...Or have they?

     I say this not to question the power or validity of the watery grave of baptism. I know people who have been baptized and came up completely delivered from their struggles with sin, and I mean completely. 

"God is taking too long"

  

    Who can stand to wait on God when everyone else is gaining success and outdoing us daily? We need to "arrive", and stat! There is simply no time to pray, read our bible, AND seek God in every little thing...Or is there? 

     Wisdom says that if you don't make that time, God will create that time. None experienced the painful process of patience quite like the Ex-Egyptian-Prince turned lonely shepherd, Moses. Pastor Moses spent forty years on the backside of that mountain shepherding sheep before God called him into his greater purpose of shepherding His people.

     Let's use our imaginations and envision what those forty years must have felt like. You can easily see a nearly depressed, guilt ridden Moses. How he replayed his sinful mistakes, over and over again.

"Everybody Hates Me"

"When so many people turn against you, you should examine yourself."

       This is a "truth" that is actually not very true at all. In the sense of a 'self-check', perhaps. But this quote can be very dangerous if taken at face-value, for true believers are targeted for persecution.

          In the Word of God, we can look at countless examples of good people enduring unfair acts of hatred. John the Baptist was beheaded at the request of a young girl. 

       King David, the "Man after God's own heart", lived a life of persecution. In fact, many chapters in that powerful book of Psalms, (which we love to quote and pray) were written from a place of duress.

      Jesus, the perfect man in whom there was no guile- was crucified by the very people whom he gave his life healing and touching. 

Will this really be your year???

    As we begin a New Year, many of us are aiming to change for the better. And so many of us fail at this noble attempt, year after year. Did you know only 7% of people keep their New Year's Resolutions? 😱

    I choose to believe those 7% (or at least most of them) had the right idea about resolutions; that true dramatic change only comes about through the power of God. Only God can enable an addict to break the addiction, free someone of emotional scars that are deep in the heart, or heal the wounds of sordid pasts and broken relationships.

        Generally, our resolutions revolve around changing something that has been holding us hostage from another level- whether that is a bag of cookies, or a fear of inadequacy- we are aiming to break that thing in the New Year.

       However, we often fail because we do not acknowledge the spiritual aspect of our shortcomings. The bible says in Ephesians 6:12:

"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6:12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

        You see, spirits often come disguised as feelings and emotions. You may continue sleeping with that man out of wedlock because you feel he's your "weakness" but in reality there is a spirit of lust, lasciviousness, and fornication that has been assigned to tempt you! And the reality is, that partner may be sent by the devil himself to keep you off course- because after all, the devil knows your weaknesses. 

         So as you begin to identify your shortcomings as we start the New Year, make sure you take a long hard look at them.

Are you a procrastinator- or is that a sprit of laziness? Are you trying to lose weight because a spirit of gluttony and anxiety or depression have you bound? Are you afraid to go after your dreams or is that a spirit of fear assigned to abort your purpose? 

        The next verse in Ephesians tells us the answer to winning the battle against those spirits: “Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.”

        As we prepare to tackle those resolutions, tackle the spirit behind the need! Prepare for success by securing your armor! Your success lies in being prepared with the armor of God. Cleanse yourself from all unrighteousness and begin the year with a fast. Use the fast time to build your faith, by reading and studying of the Word of God. On a CONSISTENT basis.

     As someone who actually had success in keeping my resolutions for the first time last year- I realize that it was also the first time many of my resolutions were Christ centered. As I kept my Christ-Centered resolutions, somehow everything else fell into place! God had given me power to break the yolk of the enemy- and he began to flee from my life. Suddenly those mountains didn't seem as intimidating anymore- Because I put my entire life into God's hands. (an ongoing submission process!!😁) 

      I'll end with this- Something about fasting will change your life. Beyond the Supernatural benefits- It teaches you discipline and sacrifice- the foundation in which all greatness lies upon.

        So as we embark on a New Year, may God be with you, and be at the Center of it all.
